VIRTUAL KEYNOTES

Virtual keynotes
and sessions

Every experience on my menu can be designed in person, online or hybrid.

Bring people into a conversation that helps them reconnect with purpose, hear one another, and see what they can do next.

I design online keynotes and facilitated sessions around your people, your context, and the reason you are gathering.

From November 2026 through April 2027, I am not travelling. During that time I offer keynotes, talks and facilitated sessions online. For later dates, we can discuss travel for your event individually.

DESIGNING FOR PARTICIPATION

Give the experience
a human rhythm.

  1. 01Arrive.Pause and become present.
  2. 02Reflect.Connect the story to your life.
  3. 03Connect.Hear another perspective.
  4. 04Choose.Name a next step of your own.

An illustrative session flow. We shape the actual experience around your audience and platform.

MAKE THE DISTANCE FEEL SMALLER

Online does not
mean watching

Online events often fall flat for the same reason in-person ones do: people are spoken to rather than involved. I want people to take part, and that matters even more when they are joining from their own desks.

A pause, a check-in, movement, or a conversation can help people arrive, whether they are in a ballroom or in front of a screen. We make room to listen, understand a different view, and respond with care.

The aim is the same as in any room: people leave having experienced something together and with a practical next step they have chosen themselves.

CHOOSE THE DEPTH OF THE EXPERIENCE

More than
a keynote

Online delivery is not limited to talks. Workshops, Collective Intelligence Labs, leadership retreats and Journey Consulting can also run online or hybrid. That matters if your event is the start of something larger: speaking can open the conversation; workshops and longer journeys can help the organization carry it forward. We choose the format around what your audience needs and the time they can meaningfully give.

Talks available online

Being the Change is one starting point for an online talk. We can also discuss which speaking theme best meets your audience and how to adapt it.

AUDIENCES I SERVE ONLINE

Who joins
me online

I speak for conference organizers, association event leaders, university deans and program directors, fellowship leaders, and convening teams who want a meaningful, participatory experience.

Online sessions suit gatherings spread across cities, programs with participants in several countries, and teams that meet mostly on screen.

The need is the same as in any room: a gathering that needs purpose, connection, and audience participation.

DESIGNED WITH YOUR HOST TEAM

Planning an online session
together

  1. Who is coming.

Before I design anything, I want to understand who is coming, what they are carrying, and what you hope changes for them.

  2. Format and length.

We agree how long the session runs and how much of it becomes participation.

  3. Preparation.

We walk through the flow with your host team before the day and agree how the platform, participation, and transitions will work.

  4. What happens after.

We decide early whether the session stands alone or leads into a workshop, a Lab or a longer journey.

PARTICIPATION · LAUNCH CLUB LIVE

What participation
looks like.

The clearest picture of how I work with an audience comes from Launch Club Live in October 2022, an in-person event. I led a three-hour keynote and participatory session on the evolution of change for around 500 entrepreneurs, designed to engage the whole person: participants moved their bodies, engaged their minds and emotions, reconnected with purpose, and connected with one another.

“Thank you again for taking our stage. It was a wonderful experience for our members.”
Clare Day, Launch Club

Online, the room is different, but the intention is the same: involve people rather than speak at them.

QUESTIONS

Questions event
organizers ask

What is a virtual keynote?

A keynote delivered online, to an audience joining by video, either as a fully online event or as part of a hybrid one. It plays the same role as an in-person keynote: setting the theme of the event and giving people something to carry into the rest of it.

How do you keep an online audience engaged?

By giving people something to do, not only something to watch. The same things that help people arrive in a room help online: a pause, a check-in, movement, a conversation, or an invitation to reflect individually. We plan where participation happens before the day, so it is designed into the session rather than added at the end. The interaction serves the purpose of the gathering.

How long should a virtual keynote be?

We decide that together, based on your program and how much of the time becomes participation. My talks run from 30 to 120 minutes; workshops and Labs run longer, as on the Menu.

Does a virtual keynote cost less than an in-person one?

Online delivery removes travel from the picture. The fee still depends on preparation, scope, format, and any follow-up work. Tell me your date, audience and budget range and I will propose an option.

Can you speak at a hybrid event?

Yes. We can discuss how to connect with people in the physical room and those joining online, including the hosting and technology support the experience needs.

Which platform do you use?

We discuss your event platform during planning and confirm whether it supports the experience we want to create. Participation, accessibility needs, host roles, and a technical walkthrough are part of that conversation.

How will you tailor an online session to our audience?

The same way as in person: a conversation about who is coming and what they are carrying, then a design that fits your audience, theme and length.

Can an online keynote lead into further work?

Yes. An online talk can open the conversation, and workshops, Collective Intelligence Labs or a longer journey can follow. Format and timing are agreed with you.

Can we see an example of a participatory keynote?

Read the Launch Club story, including the Launch Club Live session. A recording of that session is available on request.
